Definition and Composition

The Ciment  » CEM II 42,5 N « , Tunisian standard NT 47-01, and European standard EN 197-1:2000, is an Artificial Portland Cement type I, without additives, resulting from the fine grinding of a mixture of :

  • clinker Portland 95% at least
  • calcareous Filler 5% at most
  • Setting regulator (Gypsum) with appropriate proportion

This product was the subject of a serious qualitative control, carried out by a qualified personnel, according to standardized methods and with metrological means calibrated.

This type of ciment is certified in conformity to the standards by the following certification bodies:

  • INNORPI (NT.47-01) Tunisie
  • AENOR(UNE-EN 197-1:2000) Espagne 

and has obtained CE marking.

Use

This type of ciment offers excellent performances, and allows a diversified use :

  • air and hydraulic works out of reinforced concrete with significan constraints and exceptional class
  • works in great mass
  • strongly requested carrying structures.
  • re-fabricated units out of reinforced concrete such as beams and girders
  • solid masses and road concrete
  • demanding works of high initial strengths.
  • prestressed concrete normally reinforced

Contra-indications

The use of this type of cement is not allowed to :

  • work in the sea, unless it meets certain conditions.
  • work in corrosive conditions (salt water, salt-works,) such as underground and foundations.
