Definition and Composition
The Ciment » CEM II 42,5 N « , Tunisian standard NT 47-01, and European standard EN 197-1:2000, is an Artificial Portland Cement type I, without additives, resulting from the fine grinding of a mixture of :
- clinker Portland 95% at least
- calcareous Filler 5% at most
- Setting regulator (Gypsum) with appropriate proportion

and has obtained CE marking.

Use
This type of ciment offers excellent performances, and allows a diversified use :
- air and hydraulic works out of reinforced concrete with significan constraints and exceptional class
- works in great mass
- strongly requested carrying structures.
- re-fabricated units out of reinforced concrete such as beams and girders
- solid masses and road concrete
- demanding works of high initial strengths.
- prestressed concrete normally reinforced
Contra-indications
The use of this type of cement is not allowed to :
- work in the sea, unless it meets certain conditions.
- work in corrosive conditions (salt water, salt-works,) such as underground and foundations.
